Hey Pogues,
Ive looked for information on the difference between 99.5% battery grade Li and 99.9% Li for battery use. Im struggling to find the answer but it appears that "little" bit of extra purity greatly? assists in battery recharge times, battery life, battery stability?...one paper talks of minor impurities in batteries act like a cancer and as the battery charges and discharges the impurity grows into a non conductive thing? and so reduces battery life. Im not an electrical engineer and i admit i cant find the answers yet but i suspect the huge price difference in the "little" bit of extra purity tells me this is very important. I would love someone to share hard evidence on the effect of purity...i guess NVX will tell us in a short while??
