BRN has 29 institutional owners and shareholders that have filed 13D/G or 13F forms with the Securities Exchange Commission.

These 29 institutions hold a total of 56,866,266 shares. 26 of then are long and only 3 are short.

For those curious, some of the largest shareholders include:

VGTSX - Vanguard Total International Stock Index Fund Investor Shares,
IEFA - iShares Core MSCI EAFE ETF,
SCZ - iShares MSCI EAFE Small-Cap ETF, VTMGX - Vanguard Developed Markets Index Fund Admiral Shares,
VFSNX - Vanguard FTSE All-World ex-US Small-Cap Index Fund Institutional Shares,
ROBT - First Trust Nasdaq Artificial Intelligence and Robotics ETF,
IXUS - iShares Core MSCI Total International Stock ETF,
    SPDW - SPDR(R) Portfolio Developed World ex-US E
QCSTRX - Stock Account Class R1, and
IDEV - iShares Core MSCI International Developed Markets ETF.

The graph reproduced below reflects the monthly growth in Institutional Ownership of BRN over the last 24 months.

It's rather eye-opening, I think. Especially if you know what you know about the company as a long term holder and what y on a ou know has borne fruit with the progress of the company on its path to product development and commercialisation, but you are puzzled by the inexplicable falling of sp when everything else is progressing so well, as expected, on every other metric.

What I find rather interesting is that in the last 18 months as the shareprice has declined our Institutional ownership proportion has done the opposite.

The more the shareprice goes down, down, down - the more the mum & dad small fish retail investors get spooked and the more they sell, while the big fish Institutional investors snap those sales up and buy, buy, buy.

    Curiouser and curiouser.

Have a look at the graph, beliw; the rate of Institutional investment since last year, only 3 or 4 months ago, when *certain posters* started posting even harder on the endless doom and gloom death knell posts and, like a self-fulfilling prophecy, the shareprice went down and Mum and Dad investors got spooked, bailed and sold - and thereby contributed to the further decline in the sp.

The big end of town didn't sell, though...

They also didn't just sit and hold and wait it out.

Look at the graph from December 22 to today - THEY WENT ON A FEEDING FRENZY and gorged themselves to DOUBLE their holdings in the last 3 months.

They started buying all the bargain basement clearance priced shares and didn't just double their holdings, or triple their holdings or even quadruple their holdings - look at the graph. In the last 18 months when some of us "amateur retail investors" sold and diminished our holdings through fear, the big professional Institutional investors who *know what they're doing* BECAUSE (unlike us) THIS is their day job, INCREASED their holding positions TEN-FOLD!

TEN times more instututional holdings in the last 18 months while the shareprice did nothing but drop.

    Go figure.

Gosh, I'm just an amateur retail investor, but it turns out I adopted the same strategy as my far better informed *professional* Institutional BRN Shareholder counterparts and continued to accumulate more BRN every time the price slid further down, too.

So, what do the best, biggest and brightest minds in the ASX investing business know that we don't know in order to justify a 10-fold increase in Institutional holders of BRN in the last 18 months?

And, apologies because my math is bad - can someone better at math than me, please tell me what the actual figure for the % increase in Institutional holdings for the last 2 years, from April 2021 to today is, according to the graph below?

(The graph, below of historical Institutional Investor holdings is current up to COB last Thursday, by the way)

PS Wegian, this is who bought your shares.
