Hi Gilly,

I'm an accountant and have now switched everything to Xero, I find it's very good for a small business, particularly helpful with payroll, invoicing, superannuation payments and data entry (bank feeds).

MYOB have a similar cloud product called MYOB live, I stopped using it about a year ago because I found it incredibly slow. I haven't really kept up to date with whether they have improved the speed.

Haven't used quickbooks in a few years, never liked their product, I think they are now playing catchup, they have just released a cheaper cloud product, haven't heard any reviews but wouldn't consider switching.

Don't own Xero shares because I find it too difficult to value but have been very impressed with the product. Just be aware of the pricing, if you run a small business it will cost approx $50 per month.
