Dex most of us have natural tendencies and develop a certain way of doing thing and dealing with thing, some people can adjust that but mostly they don't.
Give credit to Abbott for his volunteering ect but having a consultative leadership style doesn't come natural to him and while he may listen to others he doesn't take it on board.
Turnbull on the other had does have a more natural consultative leadership style, his experience in business and company board required that so even if it was not his natural style he has learnt that style of leadership
