you're correct. we are locked into the duopoly and the love of parties. and I'm no better than anyone else, so yeh...., the op is aimed at myself as much as any. but I was thinking of old mate @JCoure. when I was writing. his hatred and branding of Lab pollies as paedophiles need balancing.
mind tho, I haven't seen posts by JC over the last week..... so maybe he's unwell or worse. poor old bloke has his health matters I'm sure.
but its political parties generally that is my final target. parties allow people to enter politics based on very base assessment as to fund raising (1st and foremost), networking (just as paedophiles do) and rhetoric (subscription to a set of ideological principles)..... none of this address intelligence, knowledge, personal insight or dedication to the betterment of our community generally.
this is a key reason why I want Aus to abandon the party political system.
