The bail-out in my personal opinion is more than simply stating the obvious; that it will keep people employed (The resource side of it is not the major concern regarding the bail-out (In fact probably does not even enter the equation to sway the decision either way)). The other side of the flip coin which is probably the most important, even more important than employment itself, is the sentiment factor. The US is highly built and geared around one thing - "Power". "Power" in the US is generated by words; Presidential speeches, World News & Events, Superstar athletes and Moviestars. When the bail-out happens (Hint, Hint) it will provide another positive directional step by the US; which of course they will capitalise and say we are saving the world again.
