One of the benefits of the HEWI model is that sedimentary rocks are easier to both mechanically and chemically stimulate. This is one of the main benefits of the model, along with the lower depth required. Increased flow rates may compensate for a smaller resource, but logically this would deplete the resource even more rapidly
