I'd agree there's all sorts of dodgy interests at stake here, regarding oil and money.
However, lets stick to the issue which is that Blair and Bush assured the western public repeatedly that Saddam had WMD and was a threat to the west.
What really interests me is that both Rice and Powell said Saddam was not a threat and was contained in early 2001. Rice's words were something along the lines of "we have him in a box".
So either Bush was lying, or Powell and Rice were. Who was it folks, you can't have it both ways.
