So you truly believe letting people get the virus is the most beneficial way to control the virus? Look at the US, every person dead or worse, left in a disabled state is a piece removed from the board, A piece that can't contribute to the economy. Sure these lockdowns have been annoying but you gotta stop drinking the Murdoch coolaid, the economy has gotten a shuffle and because of our efforts tens of thousands of people have survived the virus that otherwise would have died and hundreds of thousands that would have gotten sick and potentially suffered life changing permanent damage have managed to escape that horrible fate. This is not including the many that would have not received the medical attention they needed as our hospitals and health care system would not be able to cope with the number of patients.

We only have to be smart about this for another year, It will likely be a even more difficult year but once that time has passed we would be in a position where the effects of the virus can be managed with the help of vaccines and a even better understanding of the virus.
