Further to that idea, I wonder how we are going to treat heavy colds and flu in the future ? I reckon that's going to change. We just used to put up with heavy colds and flu. Probably because we grew up with them and partly because of the old fashioned " she'll be right " attitude. How many times pre covid were you served in a a shop where people were coughing and blowing their nose because they had a bad cold ? I'll wager that people won't tolerate that behaviour in the future. I'm certain people's general hand hygiene practice is much improved as well. It will be interesting to see the flu numbers post covid, I expect they will be much lower than the past simply because of what we have learned from dealing with covid. With that , there may be an economic benefit although I expect the number of " sickies " to go up at the same time.

Not many people can put up with the flu ... the real flu that is. Every winter at least someone with a cold complains to me about having the flu. A bit like having a standard headache is more hip and heroic to be relabeled a migraine.
