< If this deal is so good then earnings should receive an upgrade! >

ALL of the Publisher 'deals' Looksmart have engaged (in recent times), are GOOD !!! - Not only the one I have pointed out to you, in my previous post. An "upgrade" ??? I would be nice, but there are 'bigger fish to fry' that could be revealed within the CC, that I expect to shed a little more light on the many great 'things' to come.

< So where is the upgrade then??? >

Hey, they may yet provide one, but I suppose the $12M for Q2 LOOK have guided for, will have to do for all the 'knockers', at this stage. LOK's shareprice is equivalent to less that .05cps, in the 'old' LOK, as we knew it. Unbelievable value when you consider the role Looksmart will play in assisting the 'print media' start to win back a share of their lost (an estimated) $14 Billion dollars, that will go to online advertising, this 2005 F/Y.

'Old' Print media publishers (through millions of current & archived articles of interest) will use Looksmart's Technology & expertise to not only retain their current, millions of website visitors, but will encourage them (and others new users) to come and stay, a little longer. They will extend their existing many advertisors, with Contextual Ads on each page of content, as I have (already) described in a previous post. We must quickly learn to understand that the likes of Google, Yahoo, MSN & a few other larger Portals, are now (or, will be when/as things start to hot up) the real 'enemy' of all those long time established Publishers!! They have now lost 21% of their circulation (along with associated advertising dollars), to the Big Portals, in what is a very short period of time. That Google (alone), paid out (over) $380 Million dollars to their affiliate type partners last quarter, for Adsense ADS programs,(similar to Contextual, but proven to be slightly inferior), is testimony that should assure shareholders, that it works!! Publishers will now start to 'eat into' their (those BIG Portal's) revenues, particularly when you consider that it is the media advertising Co's, who have been 'flogged' in recent times by those same Portals, through rising AD costs.

They (advertisers & ADS Co's) will most certainly now be "re-alligned", with the very Publisher Groups (who with which they have 'enjoyed', longstanding relationships), with all their efforts. Look will now benefit immensely, IMO.

Looksmart have most of these Articles (already) and as they are 'contextualised' with the likes of "ContexWeb" and others facilitating their (publisher's) established advertisers with their content, the "revenue meter" will really start to 'click' for Looksmart, through 'hits' on all their own, exisiting (& future) properties. That's besides ongoing regular quarterly payments for "License deals", for Furl & other LOOK 'search' products, that publishers have already taken on board.

I added in a previous post:

"And there are OTHER Major Publishers, yet to be named here, that LOOK already have. It is confusing enought already, for some to fully comprehend, the above ramifications."

    How true .....

Silly "smuggler" posted (excitedly) only this morning, (on Yahoo) that he had found one of them!! LOL !! - I can assure you that the Looksmart "Google Group" have discussed for some time now, the many 'new' partners, that Looksmart are now associated with.

The hundreds of newspapers and magazines controlled by these many Publishers, & with the right kind of articles to be written by them, will help direct other readers to both their 'own' websites and to Looksmart's Verticals, & will ensure success for both Publishers & Looksmart, will be made, oh, so much easier.

You see, LOOK are 'alligned' with these Publishers, the Major Portals mentioned above, are not!! - And that is the real difference, I suppose, that needs to be understood.

    :)
