Just let him get on with the job!
Every Australian citizen HAS TO VOTE. They have to. It is illegal not to vote. That means every judge, lawyer, barrister etc leans one way or the other on the political spectrum. They all vote for someone. With that in mind, if the unions think that Dyson Heydon is unable to distance himself from the party that he (supposedly, we don't know) votes for and run the RC, then every judge, lawyer, barrister in the country is biased in one way or the other and is therefore unfit to fulfil their respective roles and should all be stood down!
Even Waleed Aly (who's as left as left can get) was shocked at what the inquiry was turning up with the investigations into trade unions. It's important that it goes ahead, what's wrong with Dyson Heydon at the helm? I just don't see the problem...

Pretty sure whoever sits in the chair is going to be able to put their political ideologies aside in order to do their job.
