This isn't about "catching crooks." It's about disabling the electoral funding base of the ALP, while rendering what remains of the union movement impotent in order to give a free kick to part of the Libs constituency. In terms of the revelations of the TURC...it's hardly reminiscent of the Painters And Dockers in the 1970's. This Commission had to go back nearly a quarter of a century to find a fraud case of well under a million dollars, so little corruption is there to investigate in the contemporary setting.
