Care to explain what the first "resistance group", the PLO started by Arafat an Egyptian and with the help of the Russian KGB, was resisting when established in 1964?
At the time Gaza was occupied by Egypt and the West Bank by Jordan and had been since their invasion and war with Israel in 1948.
In fact during the time of Egypt's occupation it was the Egyptian Fedayeen who were continually making raids into Israel from Gaza.
If the surrounding Arab nations hadn't tried to take the rest of Israel in 1967 the West Bank and Gaza would no doubt still be occupied by Jordan and Egypt!
Also who do you think will be running this Palestinian State should it be created. Hamas, oh hang on but they already are/were. Didn't that work out well! or the ineffectual PA? or one of the many other violent militant mobs. I guess take your pick. They all fight each other anyway. Maybe that'll keep them occupied for a few years more until their next violent raid on Israel!
Fact is fundamental Muslims hate Jews being in control of their own destiny and being equal to or above them in the pecking order and Israel is in the way of their ultimate aim to turn the whole of the middle east into one big Islamic State.
