If they were deliberately targeted by any side, then they should be condemned.

Having said the above, let me point out that the Golan Heights is NOT part of Israel.

Where did the UNSC 242 say the Golan Heights as belonging to Israel???

Golan Heights is recognized Internationally as Occupied Territory - just like the West Bank and Gaza.

Go read the ICJ ruling.

And under the UN charter, surrounding countries have the right to assist people who have been occupied. They would simply be carrying out (giving effect to) UNSC 242.

Bottom line: Israel is on Occupied Land. It has to leave the Golan Heights under UNSC 242.
