In my experience price should give some indication as to how the fundamentals are playing out.
I can see 2 scenarios playing out.
1. It can breakout before the news comes out (usually insiders/instos pushing up price)
2. It will gap up out of this base pattern
Both scenario can provide tradeable & long term entries
