A good question. Stuart Dasler, the new head of Starlink sales, has had 20 years experience in satellite communication which naturally enough is now a must have for shipping fleets.

He's flat out at the moment but promised to follow up. The brief thing he did say is that the high volume Netlinkz thinks it will get is less to do with technical issues than social ones. The fleets need to attract staff. If they can be in touch with home at any time in their shift it is a big morale booster and easer to keep crews. Obvious when you think about it, but being a bit of tech head I missed the point. Will speak to him next week.
