Predicting the unpredictable.
I came to the chart thread because from all the discussion on the subject I haven't been convinced that there is anything to be gained by trying to predict where a SP is likely to go in the short term . The market is crazy and easy to manipulate which makes it an unpredictable creature.

It seems to me if I want to make money trading all I need to know is,

(1) the SP will continue to go up until it starts to go down
(2) it will continue to go down until it starts to go up.

Why waste time trying to predict where the highs and lows will be. Isn't success a simple matter of Buying just after a low and Selling just after the following high.

The devious manipulators would of course buy as much as they can close to the bottom then add to the buy side when it starts to subside to lift the high and after selling save a bit to add to the sell side at the bottom to drop the low.

Hopefully we will have something HGO specific to discuss soon.

simple solution re charts, don't look at them. Some people find them helpful, not all. Nothing wrong with that. But complaining?
