I tried to buy shares once, in a shipping company being stalked by Sir Ron, and made an offer for a fair few shares a few cents below the stagnating listed buy/sell prices and CommSec would only let my offer price be about .001 - 0.003 c below existing offer price, and had to reduce every 3 days or so.
