    Sabre is correct. Hedging is also not usually done with a customer but with a metals trading broker, and sometimes there is no physical delivery at all

    Hedging just means someone (a broker) has agreed to contract volume at a fixed price, that price often depends on futures interest rates etc. Note that if the metal prices rises, then the hedge doesn't look as good
