Well, our overseas traveling is over ... great time, but glad to be back in Oz. And we have now completed our relocation to Brisbane, which has been a heck of an undertaking - much more than we imagined!
I have just had cable broadband installed today, so I am connected to the net again!! It has been a 10 day delay in this because I was given the go ahead to get ADSL2, but at the last minute they said the copper lines were not good enough. So I had to turn to Telstra & get cable ... not a fan of Telstra, but beggars cant be choosers!!
I am still not trading actively & have about 40% in cash atm, mainly because I dont like the international signs. Also my "sabbatical" from the markets so far has been fortuitously well timed, with market & trading conditions being particularly poor.
As for BMN, it continues in the doldrums ... in its defense, so is just about every other uranium stock out there, bar for EXT & MRU. I still hold my "long-term" packet, and the shares I bought in the low 60's. Sadly of course, all profits on these have disappeared, and unless BMN recovers, the tax reasons I had for holding on to them no longer exist. So, I will wait to see what the new resource upgrade brings, and if the company can swing some good news our way instead of bad news all the time. So we shall see. I still feel it is an internationally significant resource that cant be ignored - BUT, the market desperately needs some good news from them before any re-rating can occur.
(Ps .. the only other uranium stocks I hold are some PDN & FTE)
In the meantime, I continue to be bullish on iron ore stocks. I hold two in particular, both of which have performed very well, one of which is up over 100%.
As for now, I am financially able to "retire" from the markets, and await better trading conditions. These last three months off have been just awesome! Until markets improve, I will check them regularly, make a purchase or two, and might even drop a post into Hotcopper from time to time ... but I wont be glued to the screens like I have been for the past four years .. ;)
So, people can go on hypothesizing about me all they like, the above is my current situation, and remains so for the foreseeable future!
Cheers all
