Bound to make more friends, and a few more on the ignore lists, but don't care. New years eve, just another day for people to get wasted, get into fights and make resolutions they'll never look like fulfilling. What annoys me the most though is the $10s of millions wasted on fireworks, whilst we have to have volunteer SES, surf lifesavers, firefighters, rescue helicopters and organisations like the Salvos and Saint Vinnies etc.
Fireworks for all, rich or poor, or do something realistic for the community? I know which would be the better choice, maybe in future they should charge to watch? Nah, that wouldn't work because no one would pay, (just like our fighting fund).
Whilst the police were 'controlling' the foreshores, wonder how many extra crimes were committed around the cities?
