I am not an accountant, but do note that what you describe would be considered by the ATO as a "wash sale", and there are rules to prevent people claiming capital losses against it.
With the rise in day trading activity due to Covid, I would not be surprised if the ATO are going to be heavily targeting traders for audit. Be careful!
