Should be one of the questions on the citizenship test.
Neither should Australian citizens, dual or not, be permitted to fight for any country except Australia.
However, this is a separate issue from Hick's barbaric incarceration by the United Stupids.
Bear in mind that when he went to fight for the Taliban (who weren't the recognised government of Afghanistan), that the silly undeclared war on terror hadn't begun.
As Australians we should demand our citizens, no matter what they have done, be treated with civilised justice and that their conditions of incarceration be humane, otherwise we don't deserve to be seen as civilised ourselves.
Clearly the United Stupids have failed monstrously on both counts.
