I am often times amazed by people quoting articles or news reports but don't mention the source. In this case presumably a complete copy of a news article, but who was the author, and where was it published ? I can't find it in your post.

If you are going to use a published article or news to support your view or your stance, you need to mention the source, to add credibility. Of course, if you are just stating a personal view, and not resorting to an external source to back up what you are saying, then that is a dfferent matter.
