There were many wrongs re the treatment of David Hicks.
It is starting to come out.

Hicks was a was used as a guinea pig in pychological torture experiments.

It was allowed by the Australian government even whilst other governments (the Brits etc) made sure they got their citizens out of G Bay early on.
