    Saw this thread on hicks.

    I read the comments of the US fellow and all he said was that the measure of whether they would proceed on a matter was whetherornot he would have faced 20 years or more.

    That hardly says Hicks shouldnt have been charged for what he did or didnt do. just means it want likley to have earned him 20 years. But we already knew that.

    Can you imagine our legal system if people were prosecuted only if their likely sentence was say life???? More importantly, to draw the parallel that some are doing, to then say therefore he is innocent?

    Just means he wasn't the worst of the worst. Hardly a cleanskin.
