At these prices I would have thought Macquarie would be interested. We know the bank and AMP Capital would be nice for them. They would do well with the platform. The China operation if it really has even a fraction of the value that people hope would do well under them.
only problem I see is that it would not be a “tie up” where we get to hold shares in a bigger, growing better managed AMP, Macquarie would absorb AMP to get the best value. As shareholders we get some of the expected future upside adjusted down for risk and time.
