If they say that and there is no other bids, then price will head south again. The BB would slow it down for a while.
They will then consider breaking the company up and selling it. If they did this they will get more than selling it whole. Either way I'm guessing they want to sell.
I don't think there will be anymore bids now until after the election result. Sometimes these can drag on for a while if it too close to call.
