hidden phosphate

Apologies for putting this on the MAK thread, but those interested in phosphate stories should check this out.

Check this out:

EPM 15763 is held by Mt Isa Metals Pty Ltd a subsidiary of DGR and 'appears' to cover 30-40% of the D-Tree deposit.

Click on the link to open the interactive maps. On the left hand side you will see a bunch of layers you can activate. Activate the Current Exploration Permits - Mineral layer, the Mineral Resource Outline layer (under Mineral Deposits), and the 1:100,000 Map Index layer (under Cadastre). Now go up to the north west corner and zoom in on the Undilla 1:100,000 area. You will see a purple outline of the D-tree deposit. The licence on the left is the one held by Mt Isa Metals Pty ltd (the licence on the right is held by Gutnick's - Legend). Click on the red 'i' button on the toolbar and click on the licence area to bring up the details. You can also click on the purple shaded area to bring up details of the deposit. It gives a location which is accurate to 500m, although note, being a bulk commodity it covers a large area.

EPM 15763 appears to cover 30-40% of the deposit.

The deposit (phosphorite/rock phosphate) is a large deposit. The Qld Govt website lists it as >200,000,000 tonnes. Phosphates deposits of the World has it as 220 Mt @ 18.6%P2O5 (1989 estimate). Legend International quote it as having a resource of 450mt at 15.9%
