Seasonal zinc warehousing gself and buyitlow - spoke with JD this morning about this. He suggested Red Dog, the world's biggest zinc mine, based in north Alaska, see http://www.reddogalaska.com only has a few months window to move a whole of of production and can cause fluctuations this time of year and would be a factor behind recent warehouse movements.
Last year LME inventories were around the 1M tonne mark, see http://www.westmetall.com/en/markdaten.php?action=show_table&field=LME_Zn_cash and we are now around 750,000 tonnes.
