Well we had the coal and gas price cap scheme that was introduced recently to keep power prices from escalating without adding to inflation.
I think it's still going for gas.
I have some shares in Origin energy and apparently I benefited indirectly from that cap to coal prices as Origin's costs were lower than they otherwise would have been to generate electricity so profits were higher.
The news says the cap scheme cost over a billion dollars for coal alone.
