If a company has good news to report you would think that they would ensure everyone heard about it. Not so with Futuris (FCL) however in that they chose to release details about the sale of Air International at 5.30 pm yesterday which means the announcement code doesn't pop up on trading screens today and so far as I can see no reports appeared in any newspaper.
FCL announced that the AIR International sale had been completed which generated an $80m pre tax profit and delivered $180m of cash into FCL's coffers.
A company can do a lot with $180m and if I was the CEO you can be sure I'd be a bit more forthcoming about such good fortune.
