The 2 main raw material used are polyethylene and ceramics. Both can be sourced in the US. And HCL are using both made in the US. It depends on the specification of the plate and the client, but even the high end plates can use US made material. HCL has been using Italian ceramics for some applications as they used to be cheaper, but having 100% US raw material has always been a requirement for the US defence. HCL has been selling in the US for many years under this requirement. One of the best polyethylene supplier is Dutch, but they have had a factory in the US for quite some time.
