You are taking an extremistical view.

How about taking a much more balanced and sensible view. There are many more mid caps out there that offer really solid and much more secure returns.

Comparing alternatives of a near bankrupt company with a Blue chip is not the way to go IMHO.

I once thought the same as you and invested $17,000 into a 1 cent company in view of getting rich quick. I was only 23 at the time. I lost it all.
