If the chain was broken, ie. the prostitute left town, the hotel owner would have owed $200 and been in the deep end with the German tourist.
If, initially, the german tourist had paid the $100 for a room, and hadn't just left the money on the desk, .......

no, too much to think about, .... pity our economy couldn't be as straightforward as this where everyone wins and productivity happens.
