An approved buy-out might take the option of deciding when you sell your shares away from you. Given a choice you may as well wait for a while to maximise your returns, but it could be many years before oil gets back to levels of $80 or above. Depending on your financial situation the sensible thing to do could be to gradually sell down your holdings over a period of time.
