Hi Dennis a good posting The big problem with training apprentices etc was the wages costs WComp along with the dole paying young ones not to work . Now we have to attract the lower paid trained overseas tradesmen to do the work and we still remain with that era of young ones who never had to work . The younger generation are out there trying to get work but they cannot be trained in time to catch up with this demand for labour Work for The Dole Maybe National Service ( A lot went on into the forces after that and learned a trade ) Maybe get some of us oldies back out there to teach them Yes this should be the Greatest Country Towie
