Yes but Uber is fine to be a labor hiring business and that's the right business model for it.
But Appen is supposed to be an AI/IT company which labor hiring is not Ok and their revenue will soon be eroded and eliminated by their own customers like Google or Meta.
The reason Innodata was interested in Appen, is because Appen is still a mainly data sorting/processing business, at least it still is at the moment.
