The impact of school yard bullying can never be underestimated. Bullying  leads to countless suicides and occasional revenge attacks with deadly consequence.  The psychological impact can last decades.

This Fairfax article includes embedded video of a student being knocked unconscious at  Wagga Wagga High School.

I have some problems with the narrative.  Disturbingly, the school seeks to punish those who took the video.  It is as if the school would  prefer to sweep the incident under the carpet and deal with it internally. Schools can say one thing in their policy then do the opposite.  It's not the first time some schools have responded in this manner.

I applaud those who are brave enough to video such incidents IF their intention is to hand this evidence over to the Police.  Video evidence played to a court room can leave little room for doubt and invariably leads to a much tougher sentence for the perpetrator. The more evidence the better!

The intentions of the photographer(s) can only be discerned by the Police investigation IMHO.  Schools have no role in doubling up a Police process.  If a perpetrator knows he is being videoed he  may (at least sometimes) think twice before continuing.

    cheers
