Note that they did take a small $1.6m impairment charge in FY20. Nothing compared to the $51m bath they took in FY12 and FY13 when they had to raise equity as well to stay within covenants. They did write some of that back over the subsequent years.
Interesting fact: NTA per share at 30 June 2020 was $0.96, less than $0.97 at 30 June 2012! And we've had the greatest boom in Australian residential property history in the intervening years.
Management has not been able to deliver shareholder value and this has been an overhang for the stock for quite a few years now.
