    Hi TOU,

    Thank you for your post. If indeed you have been reading any of my posts over the last 12 months, you will know that I have been quite concerned regarding Australia's external trade imbalance, its foreign indebtedness, its increased commodities based dependency, and its overall risk to economic downturn. Indeed, from early 2004 /late 2003, I was suggesting that the Australian economy would turn down going into 2005.

    More the point, have been my posts regarding the dangers of a high $A (which is what the A$ is irrespective of whatever might be happening to the US$).

    Now, if you haven't been reading those posts, then I suggest that you should do so. The we can engage in some enterprising debate.
