"Problem here is that ORS trying to do business in Oz with higher cost structures/production costs etc.."
Would you prefer they do business in DRC or SA or Burkino Faso or Mali or Argentina or any other third world country? You get your much lower production cost and in equal measure your sovereign risk.
It doesn't matter which country the mine is but the price of gold and any cash reserve it has. No doubt it is not high so this is a test of management being able to juggle growth when it is required and surviving when a close eye on expenses is required. Not so long ago ie 6mth ago, I don't see anyone talking about the other midcaps being a risky play. Suddenly posters are out in force talking about doom and gloom. I have seen a video mentioning the fall in the POG on that Friday/Monday as being a billion to one chance event. Never happened before in history but here we are.
I have been through the GFC black swan?, survived that, Uranium black swan fuku?, just survived that and now this sector. Especially right now I can't see the fundamentals in world economics changing to worry me just yet. The rest are sentiment and I will be buying beginning next FY and being a contrarian.
