To make my point further, for any readers who were working in 1980:

1. How would you like to earn "record" wages now, 10% above what you earned in 1980?

2. How would you like your family home to be at a "record" price now, 10% above what it was worth in 1980?

3. It follows that is completely absurd to be talking about gold at US$910 being anywhere near record prices.
