this is probably the wrong thread however I believe it is the price of houses rather than the interest rates that are at all time highs.

People should be able to afford 9% interest rates and the could if houses were 30% cheaper.

Perhaps State governments should shoulder more responsibility for the massive realestate price increses each State has seen sometime over the past 12 years.
