Hedlander - USDAUDX is a paradox when it comes to resources stocks. Rising AUD is correlated with rising Resources sector SPs.
I think speculators buy AUD when resources/commodities are expected to do well, and sell AUD when resources expected to go down . . . as well.
However as you point out, it is the opposite of common sense at the AUD earnings level.
