Salt battery advancement has been significant and a worry for dangerous lithium. China and GB are already producing salt ion batteries.
Once BCI is in production Western Australia will be capable of producing approx 20mtpa of high grade solar salt.
Why isn’t a battery production plant being considered/planned for the Mardie Industrial Park instead of a SoP plant at the salt field? Mardie will be centrally located to the other 5 WA salt producers.
WHY ISNT BCI in the forefront of this potential safe energy technology?
BCI should say something - anything about this possibility.
The WA government may then take an interest in is salt producers.
