I made a little bit different and more conservative calculation here;
GIP (Gas in-place) @ Goldwyer Formation 40.6 Bcf/km2 (106 Bcf/mi2)
This value is from EIA's document. See EIA's table below.
Sample for GIP @ Eagle Ford shale: 80.4 Bcf/km2 (209 Bcf/mi2) Conoco is a Eagle Ford shale producer)
(1mi² ~2.6km²)
From EIA Report (Page 358 or XIV-25): "Risked completable gas in-place of 764 Tcf, and risked technically recoverable resources of about 229 Tcf (see the table below from same report. Page: 335 or XIV-2)
A recovery factor of 30% is applied applied in Canning Basin.
Goldwyer shale area of NSE: 45,000 km2 (11m+ acres)
Goldwyer project well drilling area calculation"
- Distance between the 3 wells: 235 km Band
- Estimated width of prospective area band: 20 km
The whole prospective area: 235 x 20 = 4700 km2
NSE GIP: 188 TCF (4700 km2 x 40 Bcf/km2 = 188.000 Bcf)
NSE Recoverable gas: 56 TCF (188 TCF x 30%)
