lets see what a thorough review throws up. Why are the costs so high and what actions are required to get them down. Is part of the problem relying on a FIFO workforce up there who want all the trimmings? That's the beauty of Mt Monger with a residential workforce. I remember Les talking about the extra cost per oz of FIFO versus residential quite a while ago, but can't recall the figure. Obviously that is only part of the problem though as the high costs of FIFO were factored in to the original estimates. First thing to do is go back to the original DFS and compare the numbers with reality, line by line. Then see if any of the cost variables can be realistically fixed. If its just grade then that is a major issue and probably insoluble. They have some very bid decisions to make.
