When options are nearing expiry, out is the safe way. The person selling 4 million probably thought nobody would want them. The buyer, on the other hand, either knows something or, more likely, is just taking a gamble (and good luck to him/her). This is not a case of seller v buyer with equal chances.
As a matter of interest I got out of my options several months ago because I am more risk adverse. However, I am in LRS so I am prepared to gamble a bit and my gamble is that LRS is a good thing in the medium/long term.
